If this is somehow true, which I seriously doubt since I never had any issues with EA games in the past on PSN, then it's EA's fault and not PSN.įor Gamespot to take this stance is a complete joke when they let other games get away with serious online issues in the past. Madden, Live and FIFA all got significant upgrades but NHL this year added pinning against the boards and a new fighting engine. I played the demo of both versions of NHL 10 and I was very disappointed with how little EA did to improve this title. The only difference was you could set up a friends match easier on XBL and on PSN you had to hook up through EA servers. Neither ran better or worse then the other. I own and played both version of NHL 09 on both PSN and XBL for months.

Granted, the 360 versions are typically better out of the box online-wise, but PS3 games do get back to the level of those 360 counterparts eventually.īoodybandit 4532d ago (Edited 4532d ago ) When reviewers get a game, bugs are still being polished, the servers (if applicable) aren't operating at normal capacity, and basically everything that goes along with the launch of a new game. On topic - I never liked it when reviewers gave different marks between two systems solely on the basis of online play (unless they review it a month or two after a game comes out, which is basically useless at that point).
The only people who want to see one system or the other fail are fanboys, simply because they are too short-sighted and idiotic to see the bigger picture. And why would we want them to be - competition makes things better for us gamers. They all have way too much of a market share to be rendered as non-factors.
